Easy to get started

I just needed a simple way to text customers from our business number. Textline's landline texting feature worked perfectly. It was pretty easy to get set up, didn't take much fuss. Sending and getting texts felt just like a regular phone, which was convenient. No complaints, it just did what I needed it to.

Solid platform, minor quibbles

I tried Textline primarily for their Customer Service SMS and CRM Integrations. Integrating with Salesforce was relatively simple, which was a big plus. The platform itself is quite robust and reliable for sending and receiving messages. However, I found the initial setup for user permissions a little less intuitive than I'd hoped, taking a bit more clicking around to get right. Message delivery was prompt and consistent. The value seems fair, especially with the annual billing discount. Overall, a strong contender, just a small learning curve on some admin features.

Good value with annual plan

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the best deal. The 14-day free trial let me test everything out without commitment, which was great. When it came time to subscribe, I opted for the annual billing to get the discount. That felt like a significant saving compared to monthly. The features, like the Universal Inbox and contact management, proved really useful for the price paid. I feel I got good value for my money.

Smooth setup, good support

I signed up for the 14-day free trial of Textline's Business Texting Software for my small team. The onboarding process was straightforward, I was able to get our shared phone number set up and import contacts pretty quickly. We used the Universal Inbox feature extensively, and it worked well for managing customer inquiries. Delivery of messages was reliable. I had a minor question about setting up an auto-reply, and customer support responded within an hour via chat, which was helpful. The analytics dashboard gave us a good overview, though I wish there were a few more granular reporting options. Overall, a solid experience for managing our customer SMS.

I've heard some texting platforms charge per message. Is Textline like that, or is it a flat fee usually?

S Sean C. 4 weeks ago
It's not per message in the way some others are. It's more of a tiered plan based on message volume, but you're not getting nickel-and-dimed for every single text. Check their pricing page for specifics.

M Megan P. 4 weeks ago
I don't think it's per message. More like a monthly subscription that includes a certain amount, and then you might upgrade if you go over a lot.

Can I use my existing business landline number with Textline, or do I have to get a new number for texting?

M Mark T. 2 days ago
Yeah, you can use your landline! It's one of their features, they'll text-enable it. Saves a lot of hassle.

J Josh Sanchez 2 days ago
Definitely. I ported my landline number over to them. It took a little bit to set up, but it worked out perfectly.

My company deals with sensitive client info, so HIPAA compliance is a must. Is Textline compliant with HIPAA regulations?

K Kyle E. 2 weeks ago
They actually advertise that they are HIPAA compliant. That's a key feature for some industries.

C Chloe Gomez 2 weeks ago
Yes, they explicitly state they are HIPAA compliant. That's why my clinic ended up choosing them.

Any deals or discounts for going with an annual plan vs. monthly? Trying to save some cash.

J Jason Smith 2 weeks ago
Yeah, you usually get a pretty decent discount if you pay annually. I think it's around 15-20% off compared to monthly.

D Daniel Ramirez 2 weeks ago
Definitely go annual if you can. It's cheaper in the long run. They also sometimes have seasonal promos, so keep an eye out.

Trying to decide between Textline and SimpleTexting. Any big differences or reasons to pick one over the other in your experience?

K Kyle Martinez 1 week ago
I tried both for a bit. Textline's team collaboration features felt a bit smoother for our small support team. SimpleTexting was good, but the shared inbox on Textline just clicked better for us.

R Richard Miller 5 days ago
SimpleTexting is pretty solid, but Textline's integrations seemed a bit more robust for what we needed with our CRM. Depends on your existing tech stack, I guess.

Thinking of signing up for Textline, but wanna make sure it's not a pain to cancel if it doesn't work out. Anyone cancel their subscription before?

R Rachel Hernandez 4 days ago
Yeah, I canceled a while back. It was pretty straightforward, just went into the settings. No hassle really.

I think it depends on your plan. For the monthly one I had, it was super easy. If you're on an annual thing, there might be different terms, but you should still be able to manage it from your account dashboard.

My business primarily uses Salesforce. Does Textline integrate with Salesforce, or would I be managing two separate systems?

J Jason B. 1 week ago
It integrates with Salesforce! That was a big selling point for us actually. Keeps everything connected.

A Anthony F. 1 week ago
They list Salesforce as one of their integrations, so you should be good to go. I use it with HubSpot and it works fine.
